Björgvin Þor Kolbeinson joined the Langebæk team in August 2024 as Consultant and is affiliated with the Danish office.
As consultant, Björgvin works on implementing material flow optimisation, validating data, and mapping processes in terms of improving various stages within a given system. Based on simulations and data, he calculates and evaluates how facilities can be improved in the most efficient way.
Furthermore, Björgvin is contributing with adapting and implementing changes and solutions based on continuous back-and-forth communication with Langebæk’s clients.
Before joining Langebæk, he worked as a layout engineer in the food production industry, wherein his primary responsibility was to design the layout of the aisles and standardise layout processes.
Moreover, throughout his professional and academic careers, Björgvin honed his skills in programming by working with Python, Julia, and SQL.
He holds a BSc. in Industrial Engineering from his native country of Iceland and a MSc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from DTU.
His educational focus was on production engineering and project management with an overall programme focus on supply chain management and logistics. Additionally, Björgvin has been an assisting teacher during his studies.
